This cycling holiday is perfectly timed as a pre-season trip, ideal for building form ahead of the spring and summer, whether you are a racer or simply looking to enjoy quality riding in great conditions.
The week is built around the Volta ao Algarve, giving you the chance to experience the atmosphere of a pro race and watch the peloton up close on selected stages. The highlight of the trip is the Algarve Gran Fondo on Saturday, followed by the hill climb on Sunday—your opportunity to take part and test yourself on the same roads.
As the official event partner of the Algarve Gran Fondo, we offer a fully integrated experience both on and off the bike.

Since founding Cigala Cycling Travel in 2015, Matteo has been leading over 10 tours per year. A former pro and current amateur racer, Matteo is the 2022 European Champion Gran Fondo.

A former pro cyclist, Amedeo is a cycling tour guide for a decade. It is one of the most experience guides that you will ever find, counting almost over 1000 days on tours.
Finally, Amedeo is a qualified massage therapist.

Situated in the prestigious 2,000 acre Quinta do Lago Estate in the Algarve, Portugal. It features indoor and outdoor pools, a children’s pool, whirlpool, fitness centre and spa. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. The air-conditioned villas include a well-equipped kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee machine, dishwasher and washing machine/dryer. Each villa has a private bathroom with bath or shower and balcony or terrace. Satellite TV, a DVD player and iHome alarm clock are also provided. With stunning views of the Quinta do Lago Golf Course, the restaurant serves a delicious range of local and international dishes made using fresh local ingredients. The seasonal pool bar and grill serves light meals and refreshments, while the café serves breakfast, lunch and snacks. For your convenience a grocery store is also available on-site.
